THE ABEN STORY
Aben Interiors is an award-winning interior design and property staging company working with SME developers, HMO developers and property investors across the UK.
With over nine years’ experience in property, we specialise in HMO interior design, property developments, commercial-to-residential conversions, show homes and property staging.
But what makes us different is simple: we’ve spent 10 years investing in property ourselves too.
Which means we know that great design is more than just a great colour scheme, it has to work hard commercially to get you the outcome you need. Whether thats helping you sell rooms, sell your property or keeping your maintenance in check.
We also know the importance of being hands on with your builds, which is why you’ll find us on site working directly with your team not sending over a design pack and leaving you to pick up the pieces.
DESIGN THAT WORKS HARDER
We approach every project with two people in mind: the person investing in the property and the person who will eventually live there.
We look beyond colours and furniture to consider layouts, target tenants and buyers, compliance, specification, durability, budget and the overall commercial strategy.
That can mean a focus on great design, it might be a focus on unlocking potential in your layouts or simply focusing on where to spend your money and where to avoid wasting it.
Our job is to help our clients make better decisions earlier and create properties that perform once they’re finished.

Our work has been recognised within both the property and business communities, including Highly Commended for Best Shared Living Design at the HMO Summit & Awards and Highly Commended at the Family Business Awards.
But the results we’re most interested in happen on the projects themselves.
We’ve helped clients increase rents (by up to 100%), unlock additional property value, let HMO rooms above local market rates (average of 24%) and sell previously difficult-to-sell properties following professional staging (within a week I might add).
A PERSONAL, HANDS-ON APPROACH
We’re deliberately not a huge design agency. We’re a close-knit team that becomes part of your project team that you can rely on project after project.
From early layouts and interior concepts through to furniture, staging and final photography, you’ll work with people who understand your project, know what you’re trying to achieve and care about the details.
It’s also why many of our relationships extend beyond a single project.

MEET THE ÅBEN TEAM
Sammie
Co-Founder & Principal Designer
Sammie leads the creative direction of Aben Interiors, combining interior design expertise with a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science and first-hand experience as a property investor.
Her particular strength is solving the commercial puzzle behind a design from improving layouts and making every square metre work harder to creating interiors that appeal to the right tenant or buyer without unnecessary spend.
Sammie led the design work recognised at the HMO Summit & Awards and works across HMO design, developer interiors, space planning, property staging and show homes.
Adam
Co-Founder & Construction Manager
Adam brings more than nine years’ experience in property renovation, development and construction project management to Aben Interiors.
He works closely with developers to consider the practical and commercial realities behind the design, including buildability, budget, value engineering and how decisions made early in a project affect the finished result.
Adam is also a regular speaker within the property industry, including at PIN & Property and poppadoms events, sharing practical insight around property development, interior design and creating better-performing projects.
Kelly
Personal Assistant to the Directors
Kelly keeps everything organised behind the scenes at Aben.
Supporting Adam and Sammie, she helps coordinate enquiries, book client meetings and keep projects and diaries moving, often becoming one of the first friendly points of contact for our clients.
Her organisation helps make sure the creative team can focus on designing and delivering great projects, while clients receive a responsive and well-organised experience from the start.
Kate
Interior Designer
Kate is an Interior Designer at Aben with over 10 years of experience in the industry, working directly with our developer and investor clients to take projects from initial brief through to completed interior schemes.
She works across space planning, design concepts, specifications, furniture and project delivery, running her own projects with oversight from Sammie.
As part of the wider design team, Kate helps us deliver the considered, commercially focused interiors Aben is known for across HMOs, property developments and investment properties.

Adam regularly speaks at property events, and Aben Interiors works alongside industry communities including The Developers Network Birmingham, Midlands Investor Network Group (MING), and the HMO Community.
